Julia Peterman Selected for Missouri Pork Industry Scholarship

Osage Beach, Mo.,-Julia Peterman, a senior at Pleasant Hope High School, has been chosen as a recipient of a $250 Missouri Pork Industry Scholarship from the Missouri Pork Association. Her selection was announced today at the Missouri Pork Expo in Osage Beach.

Julia is the daughter of Peggy Peterman from Humansville. She currently works as a lifeguard at the Bolivar City Pool and is a farm hand on the family's farm, Peterman Farms. Julia raises, shows and sells hogs as part of her FFA Supervised Agricultural Experience project. She is currently sentinel for her FFA Chapter, and was an FFA National Grant Awardee in 2023 and 2025. She is a member of the National Honor Society and Yearbook. Julia was a winner of America's Top 250 National Essay Contest.

After graduation, Julia plans continue her education at a post-secondary college, pursuing a degree in dental hygiene or as an esthetician.
