TIF Funding Proposed for Austin Bus Turnaround Upgrades

The Chicago Transit Authority would improve the bus turnaround at Division Street and Austin Boulevard in Austin through $1.1 million in Tax Increment Financing (TIF) support proposed to City Council today by Mayor Brandon Johnson.
The project includes concrete repairs, curb reconstruction, new windbreaks with canopies, upgraded lighting and employee bathroom renovations.
Funding would be provided from the Austin Commercial TIF district and cover the entirety of project costs.
