(Wednesday, October 29, 2025; Tamuning, Guam) The Guam Memorial Hospital Authority is expanding its parking capacity with the addition of 38 new parking stalls. GMHA celebrated a groundbreaking ceremony for the Hospital Parking Expansion Project, a significant step forward in addressing our hospital's current parking challenges. "This initiative is designed to better serve our patients, visitors, and staff," Dr. Joleen Aguon, Interim Hospital Administrator, said. "It's important we overcome parking obstacles that often deter people from seeking essential medical attention. This initiative reflects our dedication to listening and addressing concerns about our hospital." Scheduled for completion by May 2026, the project aligns with GMHA's ongoing commitment to delivering top-notch healthcare services to the community. "This is an example our hospital's dedication to progress and the welfare of our people," Governor Lou Leon Guerrero said. "Taking care of the hospital's needs remains a priority as we anticipate the development of a new facility." "Capital improvement projects like the Hospital Parking Expansion Project showcase the hospital's commitment to enhancing healthcare accessibility on our island," Lieutenant Governor Joshua Tenorio added. "It is crucial to invest in our hospital's facilities to ensure they can effectively cater to the people of Guam."
