Summa Health and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Reach Multi-Year Network Participation Agreement
AKRON, OH - December 31, 2024 - Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Ohio and Summa Health announced today that they have reached a new network participation agreement that will keep Summa in Anthem's care provider networks. This means that Anthem employer-sponsored, individual, Medicare Advantage, and Medicaid health plan members will have ongoing access to affordable care at Summa.
As part of the new agreement, both organizations will work together to implement value-based care delivery and payment programs that provide additional payment based on health outcomes improvements. These models have proven to improve health outcomes while lowering healthcare costs for patients and employers.

In accordance with confidentiality requirements, the terms of the agreement will not be disclosed.
