Monday, May 4th, 2026 (Brooklyn, NY) - Brooklyn Bowl, the iconic Williamsburg venue known for live music, bowling, and dining, is bringing together three beloved New York institutions for a new pierogi flavor collaboration. Available at Brooklyn Bowl beginning Wednesday, May 6th through Sunday, May 26th, The BK Fried Chicken Pierogi was created in partnership with Veselka and Blue Ribbon Restaurants, blending classic Ukrainian comfort with Brooklyn Bowl's signature dish.
The BK Fried Chicken Pierogi features shredded chicken and collard greens wrapped in tender dough, then breaded, fried, and tossed in Blue Ribbon Signature Spice. For $16, the dish is served with 6 pierogi, honey sour cream, and pickles, fusing savory, tangy, and indulgent flavors.
This collaboration unites Brooklyn Bowl - dubbed "rock and roll heaven" by Village Voice and consistently ranked among the busiest music venues in the world by Pollstar - with Veselka, the beloved East Village institution synonymous with New York's pierogi culture, and Blue Ribbon Restaurants, the NYC mainstay is renowned for its late-night dining and eclectic American menu.
"Brooklyn Bowl has always been about bringing people together through music, food, and unforgettable experiences," said Brooklyn Bowl Chef Richard Etkin. "Partnering with Veselka and Blue Ribbon to create something this fun, nostalgic, and distinctly New York felt like a natural fit."
"This collaboration was about taking something deeply traditional and giving it a bold, unexpected twist," said Justin Birchard, COO at Veselka. "Pierogi are such a huge part of New York's food culture, and combining them with Blue Ribbon's fried chicken flavors creates something that feels both familiar and totally new."
Located in a restored 19th-century ironworks building, Brooklyn Bowl continues to set the standard for experiential entertainment with its 16 bowling lanes, state-of-the-art sound system, and menu of elevated comfort food favorites. The venue remains committed to sustainability as the world's first LEED-certified bowling alley, while also supporting local partnerships like Brooklyn Brewery.
The BK Fried Chicken Pierogi will be available at Brooklyn Bowl for a limited-time only, making it a must-try for NYC food lovers and music fans.
ABOUT BROOKLYN BOWL
Brooklyn Bowl is the ultimate night out, with its groundbreaking integration of premiere music, 16 lanes of bowling, a bar featuring locally crafted beers, and food by the acclaimed Blue Ribbon Restaurants. Located in the beautiful, 19th-century Hecla Iron Works building, the venue -- aka "rock and roll heaven" (Village Voice) -- boasts a sound system and amenities that "no other local rock club can offer" (The New York Times). Wearing its homegrown values on its sleeve, Brooklyn Bowl is as committed to locally made products -- serving award-winning beer from the adjacent Brooklyn Brewery -- as it is to environmental sustainability -- it's the first L.E.E.D.-certified bowling alley in the world and serves paper straws. And the food? "Epic," says Eater. In other words, Brooklyn Bowl's unprecedented combination of top-flight music, bowling, beer and food is "like nailing a spare on a four-ten split" (The New Yorker).
ABOUT VESELKA
Since 1954, Veselka has been serving up Ukrainian food from the same location in the heart of the East Village. Veselka, which means rainbow in Ukrainian, was founded by Volodymyr and Olha Darmochwal in 1954. Volodymyr and his wife were Ukrainian refugees in the late 1940s and found a home in the Little Ukraine neighborhood of the East Village of Manhattan. Ever since then, Veselka has grown from a small newsstand into a 24-hour gathering place, serving up Ukrainian soul food with traditional dishes like pierogi/varenyky, stuffed cabbage, potato pancakes, blintzes and goulash to the delight of locals and visitors alike. The restaurant, now owned and operated by Volodymyr's grandson, Jason Birchard, was owned and operated by Tom Birchard for many years, the son-in-law of the original founders. Throughout the restaurant's 70-year history, it has been expanded several times, been featured in many prominent films (such as Ocean's 8, Trainwreck and Juno) along with numerous features in local and national publications. Veselka has also expanded into the CPG industry so fans can enjoy the same beloved pierogi at home. Veselka is, put simply, an institution of New York City. Beyond its culinary acclaim, Veselka remains deeply connected to the local Ukrainian community, with Ukrainian staff and ongoing support for organizations linked with humanitarian efforts in Ukrainian.
