President Donald J. Trump Increases Federal Cost Share for Georgia

WASHINGTON - Senior Official Performing the Duties of the FEMA Administrator, Robert J. Fenton, Jr. announced that President Donald J. Trump made additional disaster assistance available to the state of Georgia to supplement recovery efforts in the areas affected by Hurricane Helene that occurred from September 24 - October 30, 2024.

The President authorized the federal cost-share to be increased from 75% to 90%. The major disaster declaration made federal funding available for Public Assistance, Other Needs Assistance and Hazard Mitigation for total eligible costs.
