The City of Palm Bay is proud to announce it has been awarded the 2026 Gold Bell Seal for Workplace Mental Health, the nation's leading recognition for employers committed to fostering mentally healthy workplaces. The Bell Seal is presented by Mental Health America, the nation's leading nonprofit dedicated to promoting mental health and well-being.
The City earned Gold designation during its initial submission, reflecting strong performance in workplace wellness, employee support resources, and organizational culture.
"This recognition reflects the City's strong commitment to employee well-being and the proactive steps we have taken to support mental health in the workplace," said Human Resources Director Laura Clawson. "We are proud of the programs we have built and grateful to our Wellness and Development Coordinator, Nicholena Hamilton, and the Human Resources team for helping make this achievement possible."
The Bell Seal evaluates employers on policies and practices across four key areas: workplace culture, benefits, compliance, and whole-health wellness.
The City of Palm Bay remains committed to supporting its employees and continuing to strengthen its workplace wellness initiatives.
Since 2019, Mental Health America has awarded the Bell Seal to hundreds of employers representing more than 5.1 million employees nationwide.
