China, Russia, Mongolia to hold Border Defense Cooperation 2026 joint exercise

BEIJING, Sept. 1 -- China, Russia and Mongolia are going to hold the Border Defense Cooperation 2026 joint exercise in early September 2026.

Focusing on jointly preventing and combating reconnaissance and sabotage activities in border areas, the three parties will conduct training exercises on joint planning, joint search, joint strike and seizure operations, and joint handovers.

This is the second time that the border defense forces of the three countries have conducted this series of joint training. It aims at further enhancing trilateral strategic trust, deepening border defense cooperation, and jointly safeguarding security and stability in the border areas.
