Marking 2026 Milestones
A City Council proclamation on May 11 marked the 50th anniversary of the Heritage Lakewood museum, alongside America's 250th and Colorado's 150th commemorations. Heritage Lakewood Belmar Park is a 20th-century history park, museum and festival grounds where the community is invited to recognize these milestones during events and programs. New interpretive signage at each historic building allows visitors extended access to learn about the site. The Aug. 1 Birthday Party, Oct. 3-4 Cider Days and Dec. 3 Lakewood Lights events are the culminating dates in a series of recognition events hosted in 2026. It's been a yearlong opportunity to reflect on our shared history and enjoy all Heritage Lakewood has to offer.
