NOW OPEN: Lafayette Co. Route Y bridge over I-70 near Emma…

LAFAYETTE COUNTY - The Lafayette County Route Y bridge over Interstate 70 near Emma (Exit 62) is now open. The bridge was closed for replacement in April 2025 and was completed ahead of schedule on Wednesday, Oct. 15.

This project was funded through MoDOT's Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) but had been absorbed into the greater Statewide Improve I-70 Program which will coordinate closely with other I-70 projects the across the state. The program will plan, design, construct, reconstruct, rehabilitate, and add a third lane in each direction on nearly 200 miles of I-70, from Blue Springs to Wentzville.
