DHS/TSA/PIA-055 Crewmember Access Point (CMAP)™ Program

Body

The Transportation Security Administration manages the Crewmember Access Point™ program. This program will permit eligible airline crewmembers expedited access to the sterile area of U.S. airports at designated Crewmember Access Point locations and will replace the Known Crewmember® program when it is phased out in 2026. The Transportation Security Administration is implementing this program to comply with a Congressional mandate, which requires the Transportation Security Administration to institute a process that grants authorized airline crewmembers expedited access through screening checkpoints. The Transportation Security Administration is publishing this Privacy Impact Assessment pursuant to Section 222 of the Homeland Security Act because this Privacy Impact Assessment addresses privacy risks associated with the collection and use of personally identifiable information to verify crewmember identities and use of technology to connect the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Traveler Verification Service (or subsequent replacement systems) to the Transportation Security Administration checkpoint identity verification systems, making it a privacy sensitive system.
