The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcinga ramp closure for the full depth roadway reconstruction will be performed on the East Main Street on-ramp to Route 15 northbound, I-91 northbound, and I-691 westbound in Meriden. This work is scheduled to occur continuously from Sunday, October 26 to Monday, November 3, 2025.
CTDOT Project No. 0079-0246 was awarded to O&G Industries at a cost of $185,000,000 on January 29, 2024, and is scheduled to be completed November 30, 2028. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 1 in Rocky Hill.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
The on-ramp at East Main Street to Route 15 northbound, I-91 northbound, and I-691 westbound in Meriden will be closed continuously starting Sunday, October 26 at 6:00 p.m. to Monday, November 3, 2025, at 6:00 a.m. Traffic will follow posted detours and control signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
