PGD Kicks off Aviation Gives Back Campaign To Benefit Local United Way

Punta Gorda Airport (PGD) is pleased to announce the kickoff of its fourth annual Aviation Gives Back Campaign to support the United Way of Charlotte County (UWCC). PGD staff is planning a variety of fun activities, a Chance Auction, and a wrap‐up lunch celebration with prize drawings on February 10, 2025.

WHY GET INVOLVED?

• This is a great way for local businesses and airport partners to aid the UWCC's mission of ending the cycle of poverty in Charlotte County, while also showing support for our aviation community and on-airport employees. In turn, UWCC is here to support your local employees and neighbors that may be struggling to meet basic needs and support their own families. HOW YOU CAN HELP NOW!

You and/or your company can become an Aviation Gives Back Partner today by engaging in several ways. We're excited to partner with you, and we can customize your involvement and recognize your contributions in the way that works best for you.

• Donate an Auction Item: We're seeking enticing items for our chance auction packages such as (but not limited to) restaurant and retail gift cards, excursions, attraction tickets, gourmet food/wine, professional services, beauty/spa products, experiences and other unique or valuable items. Donations valued at $200 or more by Nov. 30 will be listed in our "PGD's Local Favorites" feature! and company logo will be showcased on our Terminal and Rental Car Center advertising screens, Aviation Gives Back webpage and social media channels throughout the campaign.
• Engage your Employees: Invite a UWCC representative to do a presentation at your business to learn how employees can get help and give help. You can also help us promote the Aviation Gives Back campaign opportunities and activities with your employees to improve engagement and boost team morale.

UPCOMING ACTIVITIES

• September through November: PGD staff will be seeking Aviation Gives Back Partners for sponsorships and donors to provide enticing items for our chance auction packages.
• December 3 through February 9 - We'll reveal all the exciting prize packages, and kick off the chance auction ticket sales and incentives. Airport Authority employees can also enroll in payroll deduction during this period.
• February 10 - Join us for Campaign Wrap-Up & Prize Party, where we'll celebrate YOUR generosity with free lunch, dessert and exciting prize drawings.
