The Penn State DuBois women's basketball team has been selected to compete in the 2026 United States Collegiate Athletic Association National Tournament. DuBois will play No. 1 seed Central Maine at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, in the gymnasium at Villa Maria College.
DuBOIS, Pa. - The Penn State DuBois women's basketball team has been selected to compete in the 2026 United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) National Tournament, marking the second consecutive year the Lady Lions have earned a national tournament bid.
The tournament will take place March 2-6 in Buffalo, New York, bringing together top programs from across the country to compete at the national level. DuBois will play No. 1 seed Central Maine at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, in the gymnasium at Villa Maria College. All teams are guaranteed at least two games in the tournament.
Earning back-to-back appearances at the USCAA National Tournament reflects the team's dedication, growth and competitive success throughout the season. Their continued presence on the national stage highlights the strength of Penn State DuBois Athletics and the commitment of student-athletes who balance rigorous academic schedules with the demands of collegiate competition.
Throughout the season, the Lady Lions demonstrated resilience, teamwork and determination, positioning themselves among the top teams in the USCAA. Their efforts were recognized with several conference honors, including Natalie Bowser being named PSUAC West Player of the Year and a PSUAC West First Team All-Star, Elizabeth Hungiville earning PSUAC West First Team All-Star recognition, Eden Wonderling being selected to the PSUAC West Second Team All-Star, and Frances Milliron receiving PSUAC West Honorable Mention honors. Head Coach Pat Lewis also was named PSUAC Co-Coach of the Year, highlighting the leadership and dedication that helped guide the team to an outstanding season.
Chancellor Jungwoo Ryoo congratulated the team on their accomplishment, noting the pride they bring to the campus community.
"Our coaches are deeply dedicated to supporting our student-athletes, and that commitment shows both on and off the court," Ryoo said. "There is something truly special about this team, built on the leadership of the coaches and the hard work, determination and unity of our student-athletes throughout the season."
