Denver, October 10, 2025 - Starting today, Colorado County Clerks may begin mailing ballots to active voters for the November 4, 2025 Coordinated Election.
"County clerks will send out ballots by next Friday," said Secretary of State Jena Griswold. "I hope every eligible Coloradan will make their voice heard in this year's election."
County Clerks must mail ballots by Friday, October 17 to voters for the Coordinated Election.
Coloradans can register to vote or update their voter registration at GoVoteColorado.gov up to October 27 in order to receive a ballot in the mail. After that, Coloradans can still register to vote and vote in person at a voting center until 7 p.m. on Election Day.

Eligible Coloradans can register to vote or update their voter registration at GoVoteColorado.gov.
Voters who wish to mail back their ballot should do so on or before October 27 to ensure it is received on time.
Beginning October 28, voters should return their ballot to a drop box or voting center, or they can vote in-person
This year, 152 voting centers will be available for voters by October 27 and 437 drop boxes will be available for voters by October 28. Voters can look up their locations, opening date, and hours at GoVoteColorado.gov.
In-person voting on Election Day, Tuesday, November 4, will be available from 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
Important upcoming dates for the Colorado 2025 Coordinated Election
October 17 - Deadline for initial mail ballots to be sent to active voters for the 2025 Coordinated Election.
October 27 - Deadline to register to vote and still be mailed a ballot. After this date, register and then vote in person.
The minimum number of required voter centers must be open.

October 28 - The minimum number of required drop boxes must be open.
Voters should return their ballots to a voter center or drop box, or vote in-person.
November 4 - Election Day. Voters must submit their ballot or be in line to vote by 7 p.m. for their ballot to be counted.
Ballots cast by military and overseas voters must be sent no later than 7 p.m. on Election Day and received no later than the close of business on the 8th day after the election (November 12).
