Reminders re: Redaction Requests and Related Notices

Under Federal Rule of Bankruptcy Procedure 9037(a), only specific information must be redacted, including: an individual's social-security number, taxpayer-identification number, or birth date, the name of a minor, or a financial account number. Please note that the Clerk's Office will not take any action on a Notice to Clerk Regarding Personally Identifiable Information that identifies information that falls outside of the specific information that must be redacted under Rule 9037(a). Please see Federal Rule of Bankruptcy Procedure 9037(d) for redacting or restricting additional information in the court record.

In addition, the Clerk's Office has created a form Motion to Redact Previously Filed Document, which may be found in the Other Local Forms menu on the Local Forms page of the website.
