Rodrigo Santoro Plays Crisóstomo in the Trailer for 'The Son of a Thousand Men', Premiering Worldwide on Netflix on November 19

São Paulo, October 20, 2025 - Today, Netflix released the trailer for The Son of a Thousand Men, starring Rodrigo Santoro as Crisóstomo, in the first screen adaptation of a work by Valter Hugo Mãe. The trailer introduces the characters of Antonino (Johnny Massaro), Camilo (Miguel Martines) and Isaura (Rebeca Jamir), who cross Crisóstomo's path to show that "family can consist of many different things." Narrated by Zezé Motta, the movie is released worldwide on Netflix on November 19 and promises to move audiences with a poetic and sensitive adaptation of the eponymous best-selling novel.

The story focuses on a solitary fisherman, Crisóstomo, who dreams of having a son. His life changes when Camilo, an orphan boy, comes into his life. As she attempts to escape her own pain, Isaura crosses paths with them, along with Antonino, a misunderstood young man. Together, they learn the real meaning of family and the purpose of sharing life together.

Directed and written by Daniel Rezende, The Son of a Thousand Men is produced by Biônica Filmes and Barry Company. It also features Antonio Haddad, Carlos Francisco, Grace Passô, Inez Viana, Juliana Caldas, Lívia Silva, Marcello Escorel and Tuna Dwek.

Filmed between Búzios, on the coast of Rio de Janeiro, and Chapada Diamantina, in Bahia, the film premieres in select theaters on October 30, and worldwide on Netflix on November 9.
