Colorado Access to Join Colorado's Individual Market in Plan Year 2027

DENVER - Today, the Colorado Division of Insurance (DOI), part of the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA), announced that Colorado Access - through its affiliated organization, Access Connected Care Partners Inc. - will enter Colorado's individual health care market for the 2027 Plan Year. Colorado Access is the second carrier to join the market in the past few years, following Select Health entering the market in 2024. It will also be the second Colorado-based carrier, along with Denver Health. Under its new product line, Colorado Access Choice, the organization expects to offer plans in 14 counties in Rating Areas 1, 2, 3 and 7.

With the addition of Colorado Access, Colorado's individual market will have 7 carriers for Plan Year 2027.

Colorado Access is a local, nonprofit health plan that has been serving members, providers, and community partners throughout Colorado for more than three decades. In addition to entering the individual market, the organization specializes in navigating the complex needs of individuals covered by Health First Colorado (Colorado's Medicaid program) and Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+), particularly those facing significant barriers to accessing care.
