STOW, OH - U.S. Representative Emilia Sykes (OH-13) hosted a celebration for all who participated in the 2025 Congressional Readers Club for Ohio's 13th Congressional District, which wrapped up in August. The Congressional Readers Club was open to K-12 students in Ohio's 13th Congressional District, and the student who read the most books in each grade received a special certificate of recognition from the Congresswoman.
"I'm so proud of the students who participated in this year's Congressional Readers Club for Ohio's 13th Congressional District! It was great to celebrate their achievements and learn what great books they read this summer," said Rep. Sykes. "I look forward to continuing to grow the Congressional Readers Club to unite and inspire more young readers across our communities."
A total of 256 students participated in the program and read a total of 583 books. Each student was encouraged to read 10 books throughout the summer. The top reader read 75 books. To celebrate this achievement, the Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library joined Rep. Sykes for the social, and brought with it games and its bookmobile for students to enjoy.
