Paola Romero: holds a degree in Mining Engineering from ESPOL and a Ph.D. in Mineral Resources and Environmental Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid. She has 18 years of experience in teaching, research, consulting, and projects related to the mining sector, water management, and hydrogeology. At ESPOL, she has served as dean and associate dean of the Faculty of Earth Sciences Engineering (FICT) and has also been a professor, researcher, director, and coordinator of degree programs and institutional centers.

Alma Patricia de León Calderón: Ph.D. in Social Sciences from the Autonomous Metropolitan University (UAM) and a Master's degree in Regional Studies from the Mora Institute. She also holds two bachelor's degrees from the Autonomous University of Zacatecas: one in Economics and the other in Law. She is currently a Level I member of the National System of Researchers (SNII). She has extensive experience in federal public administration, where she held positions in the Executive Directorate of the Federal Voter Registry and in the Private Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic. As a consultant, she has collaborated for more than ten years with civil society organizations and conducted evaluations of social programs for state and federal governments. Since 2016, she has been a Professor-Researcher at UAM-Lerma and currently serves as Head of the Unit Secretariat. Her research interests include public policy, social capital, social networks, and governance.
