Q3 2024 Average Fares Drop 4%
The Bureau of Transportation Statistics released its quarterly average airfare report this week. Average fares at Wichita Eisenhower National Airport dropped 4% during the third quarter of 2024, from $441.51 in Q2 2024 to $421.71. Compared to Q3 2023, the average fare was unchanged. The Bureau's ranking consists of domestic itinerary fares and are adjusted for inflation. Itinerary fares can be round-trip or one-way fares and are based on the total ticket value which consists of the price charged by the airlines plus any additional taxes and fees levied by an outside entity at the time of purchase.
