Escambia County, in partnership with the City of Pensacola and Resiliency Florida, invites residents to attend the Northwest Florida Resiliency Seminar, providing an opportunity to learn more about resiliency efforts in northwest Florida.
The seminar will take place on Thursday, June 11 and Friday, June 12 from 8:30 a.m. until noon at the Sanders Beach-Corinne Jones Resource Center, located at 913 S. "I" St, with lunch provided on June 11. An optional trip on the Pensacola Ferry is scheduled for Thursday, June 11 from 1-4 p.m.
Registration is required to attend the seminar and ferry trip, with a registration cost of $30. Register for the seminar and field trip here.
The seminar will feature presentations and panel discussions from state, regional and local agencies and organizations covering climate resiliency topics. Panelists will also discuss how funding agencies, local government and non-regulatory organizations facilitate resiliency in Northwest Florida. This year's agenda features additional opportunity for networking and interaction among attendees.
Escambia County's Resiliency Program is a grant-funded effort housed within the Natural Resources Management department. Established in 2022, the Resiliency Program includes the Brownfields Program and project and grant management for environmental and resiliency projects in Escambia County.
