Portion of NW Cary Parkway to Close for Water Line Repairs

  • A portion of NW Cary Parkway will be closed immediately from Norwell Boulevard to N. Harrison Avenue while crews make repairs to a water valve.
  • Repairs are expected to take between 8-10 hours; residents will still have access to water during this time.
  • Motorists should expect traffic delays and follow the posted detour signs that direct traffic around the section of NW Cary Parkway where repairs are underway. This detour will go from N. Harrison Avenue to Weston Parkway to Norwell Boulevard.

Cary, NC - A portion of NW Cary Parkway is closed immediately between Norwell Boulevard and N. Harrison Avenue while crews complete repairs to a water valve. This work is expected to take approximately 8-10 hours, and residents in the area will continue to have access to water during this time.

Motorists should anticipate traffic delays and follow posted detour signs. During the road closure, traffic will be detoured to Norwell Blvd, Weston Parkway, and Harrison Avenue. Access to Beechtree Drive, Silverberry Court, Westover Hills Drive, Skipwyth Circle, will be allowed from Harrison Avenue. Access to Hampton Lee Court and Hempstead Court will be allowed from Norwell Boulevard. For your safety and Cary staff, please follow posted detours, reduce your speed in work zones, and stay alert for changing traffic patterns.
