Census Bureau Releases Small Area Income and Poverty Estimates for States, Counties and School Districts

Additional tables provide statistics on median household income, the number of people of all ages in poverty, the number of children younger than age 5 in poverty at the state level, the number of children ages 5 to 17 in families in poverty, and the number of children younger than age 18 in poverty. At the school district level, estimates are available for the total population, the number of children ages 5 to 17, and the number of children ages 5 to 17 in families in poverty. SAIPE program estimates are produced by statistical model-based methods using sample survey, decennial census, and administrative data sources. For more information, visit the SAIPE methodology.
