As part of the directives of Eng. Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, to reinforce knowledge-sharing and collaboration among petroleum refining companies, and in line with the second pillar of the Ministry's strategy, the Egyptian Petroleum Refining Companies Forum convened at AMOC's headquarters. This forum is held periodically to highlight success stories, promote integration, and address operational challenges. AMOC highlighted its ongoing initiatives, particularly those aimed at boosting the production of waxes and base oils, reflecting its continued commitment to raising operational efficiency and strengthening financial and environmental performance in support of shareholders and the national economy. Eng. Salah El-Din Abdel Karim, Chief Executive Officer of EGPC, chaired the expanded workshop in the presence of the following EGPC Vice Presidents: • Eng. Wael Rizk, Deputy CEO for Refining and Manufacturing. • Dr./Acc. Mohamed Atef, Executive Vice President for Foreign Trade. • Dr./Chem. Tamer Ayesh, CEO Assistant for HSE. • Eng. Ibrahim Motawea, Deputy CEO for Planning and Projects. EGPC reaffirmed its support for AMOC's efforts to develop its operations and workforce, and to enhance integration among the sector's refineries to achieve the highest efficiency levels. Discussions also covered the requirements for ensuring the success of sector-wide integration. Eng. Salah El-Din Abdel Karim stressed EGPC's commitment to overcoming any potential obstacles and highlighted AMOC's leadership role in advancing this agenda. Chem. Maged El-Kordy, AMOC's Chairman and CEO , emphasized that the company remains focused on achieving sustainable growth and strong profitability, while continuing to develop its human resources and maintain a safe and stable work environment in line with Ministry and EGPC directives. Eng. Wael Rizk underscored the value of EGPC's support for AMOC's environmentally responsible and technically efficient approach to processing used oils, an approach that improves economic performance and showcases AMOC as a leading example of industrial integration. The forum brought together leaders from MIDOR, ANRPC, ELAB, EPROM, Alexandria Petroleum Company, Cairo Oil Refining Company, Amreya Petroleum Refining Company, Nasr Petroleum Company, Suez Oil Processing Company, Assiut Oil Refining Company, and ANOPC. Discussions focused on key performance indicators in occupational safety, health, process safety, and operating capacity. The forum reviewed the outcomes of Eng. Salah El-Din Abdel Karim's latest field visits and the steps taken to support company operations. It also assessed progress in integration with other companies and explored new cooperation opportunities. Discussions addressed revenue prospects, operational challenges, proposed solutions, and the status of ongoing projects, including technical and financial development, priorities, and funding needs. Success stories from AMOC and other companies were presented, with AMOC's leading role highlighted throughout.
