SCDOT implements single, southbound lane closure on the US 501 bridges over Little Pee Dee River near Galivants Ferry

​Following a routine bridge inspection, SCDOT is implementing a single lane closure southbound on the US 501 bridges over the Little Pee Dee River near Galivants Ferry. The outside travel lane is closed to allow crews to make emergency repairs to the bridge. Drivers traveling in the area should slow down and stay alert for crews working.

Crews are currently performing additional inspection and assessment work on the bridge to develop an expedited plan for repairs. Community members are encouraged to visit the SCDOT websitefor updates. ​
