Chinese Consul General in Brisbane Ruan Zongze Attends Annual Chinese New Year Gala Dinner by ACBC QLD and CCCA Brisbane

On 26 February 2026, Chinese Consul-General in Brisbane Dr RUAN Zongze attended and addressed the 2026 Chinese New Year Gala Dinner, which was jointly held by ACBC QLD and CCCA BNE. Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM Governor of Queensland, Minister for Finance, Trade, Employment and Training Hon Ros Bates, Former Australian Trade Minister Hon Andrew Robb AO among others, delivered speeches. About 350 people, including officials from the Queensland Parliament, state and city governments, and representatives from the China-Qld business and industry communities attended the event.

Dr Ruan said that China and Australia are natural partners, and it's high time to work together as Brisbane hosts the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games and China launches its 15th Five-Year Plan. China intends to navigate its transition toward higher-quality development, which will surely generate enormous opportunities for QLD as well as Australia. 

The speakers highly praised the importance of two-way exchanges between China and Australia in the fields of business, trade and investment for creating new business opportunities, enhancing mutual understanding and fostering cultural ties. They also commended the Chinese community for its outstanding contributions to the economic prosperity and multicultural development of Australia.
