Solar panel installation coming soon to the Menlo Park Library

Published on June 09, 2025

With support from Peninsula Clean Energy (PCE) the City will install solar photovoltaic (PV) panels on the Menlo Park Library located at 800 Alma St. Construction is anticipated to start June 17 and take approximately eight weeks, without affecting building hours of operation. This work is part of the City's climate action plan goal to eliminate greenhouse gas emissions from city operations.. The project is scheduled Monday through Friday (between 7 a.m. - 3 p.m.) and the building will remain open and accessible during this time. Please pardon any noise which may result from construction activities; we thank you for your understanding and patience. Additional locations for solar PV installations through PCE's GovPV Solar for Public Buildings program include: the Belle Haven Child Development Center, City Hall and the Arrillaga Gymnastics Center. More information to come. For questions regarding this project, contact publicworks@menlopark.gov or 650-330-6740.
