UW-Oshkosh community mourns passing of former College of Business dean
A former dean of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh College of Business, Dr. Robert Louis Milam, 89, has died.
Milam's son, Chuck, said his father passed away peacefully on Dec. 13, 2025, in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.

"I wanted to share this news as he valued his time at UW-Oshkosh deeply and spoke often of his colleagues and students," Chuck Milam said in an email.
Dr. Milan's longtime service in academia led him to several colleges and universities in eastern and midwestern states as teacher, department chair, dean and acting chancellor.
At UW-Oshkosh, Dr. Milam served as Dean of the College of Business from 1984 to 1995.
An Army veteran, graveside services will be held at noon Jan. 16 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.
Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, is serving the family.
