Important voting information for Nov. 3, 2026 General Election

Voting in the Nov. 3, 2026, General Election has begun.

The Orange County Registrar of Voters is now mailing ballots to all active registered voters in Orange County, and ballot drop boxes opened today, Oct. 5.

Voters have four options to cast a ballot during this election:

  • Mail the ballot on or before Election Day (no postage required).
  • Use one of 128 secure ballot drop box locations in Orange County.
  • Drop off the ballot in person at any Vote Center in Orange County.
  • Vote in person at any Vote Center in Orange County.

Key dates:

  • Oct. 19 - Registration deadline for the 2026 General Election
  • Oct. 24 - Select Vote Centers will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Oct. 31, through Monday, Nov. 2 - All Vote Centers will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Nov. 3 - On Election Day, all Vote Centers will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The City of Santa Ana's Nov. 3 General Municipal Election will be for the Mayor, for a term of two years; and three Councilmember Ward Seats (Ward Nos. 2, 4, and 6), each for a term of four years. The election will also be for one Measure placed on the ballot by the Santa Ana City Council.
