Gunman Pleads Guilty for Killing Victim on Fourth of July

Erie County District Attorney Michael J. Keane announces that Lamarrio A. Clark, 28, of Buffalo, pleaded guilty yesterday afternoon before Erie County Court Judge Susan Eagan to one count of Manslaughter in the First Degree (Class B violent felony). The defendant pleaded guilty to the charge in full satisfaction of the indictment.

On Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at approximately 5:00 p.m., the defendant shot the victim with an illegal handgun on the first block of Warring Avenue near Genesee Street in the City of Buffalo. The victim, 28-year-old Corbin J. Kinsey, Sr., was taken by ambulance to ECMC where he later died.

Clark faces a maximum of 25 years in prison when he is sentenced on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. He remains held without bail.

DA Keane commends the Buffalo Police Department for their work in this investigation.

The case was prosecuted by Chief Cathleen M. Roemer of the Felony Trials Bureau, Assistant District Attorney Nicholas Marino of the Raise the Age/Motor Vehicle Theft Insurance Fraud Unit and Assistant District Attorney John P. Gerken, Jr. of the Homicide Bureau.
