23 December 2025, Chișinău - Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova Alexandru Munteanu, together with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popșoi, took part in the Meeting of Heads of Diplomatic Missions of the Republic of Moldova, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The event brought together ambassadors and heads of consular offices to discuss foreign policy priorities and objectives for the period ahead.

In his address, the Prime Minister highlighted the role of diplomacy in the Republic of Moldova's accession process to the European Union and the importance of coordinated action by diplomatic missions in promoting national interests and the country's image abroad.

"Diplomacy must build the necessary bridges for the Republic of Moldova to confidently step into the European family. We rely on our diplomatic missions to showcase what Moldova can offer the European Union and to strengthen support throughout the accession process," stated Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu.

In turn, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popșoi emphasized the need for an active and coherent diplomacy, adapted to the regional and international context, as well as the role of diplomatic missions in strengthening dialogue with external partners.

The Meeting of Heads of Diplomatic Missions continues with thematic sessions dedicated to key foreign policy, security, and international cooperation dossiers.
