Thinking about graduate school? These sessions will help you decide what’s next.

The University of Pittsburgh is helping future scholars take the next step in their academic journeys through this year's Graduate Workshop Series.

Hosted by Graduate Studies staff in the Office of the Provost, the free workshop series is designed for anyone in the Pitt community who is considering graduate or professional school. Each session covers essential topics from choosing the right program and financing options to navigating housing and the application process.

LaToya Walters, Pitt's associate director of graduate and professional recruitment, said the workshop series will provide prospective graduate students with tools and tips to help them take the leap.

"Our Graduate Workshop Series invites aspiring graduate students to build confidence, clarity and community," she said. "Through sessions on funding, housing, application strategies and more, we empower you to navigate the graduate school journey with purpose and support."

The fall and spring lineup includes:

  • Nov. 11: Applying to grad school
  • Dec. 16: International student workshop
  • Jan. 13: Graduate housing
  • Feb. 10: Financial aid: Funding grad school
  • March 10: Panel with current STEM and health sciences graduate students
