Join fellow community members in the early planning stages of fiscal year 2026-2027 by participating in a virtual budget learning session on February 12 at 6 p.m.
This session is a comprehensive overview regarding the City's budget and budget process. Attendees will learn the basics of the City's Budget, including where money comes from and how it can be spent. We'll walk through what it means to balance a budget, how the budget is developed, and ways community members can get involved.
Attendees will have the chance to explore an interactive budgeting dashboard that shows real-world trade-offs and the choices involved in balancing a budget. This learning session will explain how the budget supports services in Portland and give opportunity to share which services matter most. Comments will be taken through an online form available here. Additional opportunities for in-depth conversations will be held later in the year.
