Councilwoman Vivian Miller-Cody Honored with Humanitarian Award During First Antioch Missionary Baptist Church Anniversary Celebration

The City of Valdosta proudly recognizes Councilwoman Vivian Miller-Cody following her surprise recognition this past weekend during the 158th Church Anniversary celebration at First Antioch Missionary Baptist Church.

During the anniversary celebration, Councilwoman Miller-Cody was presented with a Humanitarian Award in recognition of her many years of dedicated service and unwavering commitment to the people of the City of Valdosta. The honor highlighted her legacy of compassion, advocacy, and servant leadership throughout the community.

Known for her heart for service and tireless efforts to uplift others, Councilwoman Miller-Cody has consistently demonstrated a commitment to improving the lives of residents through leadership, mentorship, and community engagement. Those in attendance described the recognition as a fitting tribute to someone who has spent decades pouring into the lives of others.

Mayor Scott James Matheson praised Councilwoman Miller-Cody for her longstanding impact on the community.
