Throughout the course of human history, warfare has consistently served as a catalyst for both technological advancements and legal progress. Some of the most crucial international treaties, such as the Charter of the United Nations signed in 1945 and the Convention on International Civil Aviation signed in 1944, emerged as a result of States coming together to find shared solutions and prevent the recurrence of the devastating events that unfolded during the Second World War. The preambles of these treaties not only paint a poignant portrait of the challenges humanity confronted at that time but also underscore the collective determina­tion of the international community to avert the repetition of such tragedies.
