FirstHealth Expands Obstetrical Care at FirstHealth OB/GYN-Valleygate

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - Expectant families in the Fayetteville region will soon have even greater access to prenatal and obstetrical care as FirstHealth OB/GYN-Valleygate expands services with two experienced providers beginning to see obstetric patients effective March 3, 2026.

Meet the Providers

Obstetrical care will be provided by Nicole Killman, CNM, and Lissette Machin, M.D.

Mrs. Killman, a longtime provider at FirstHealth OB/GYN-Valleygate (formerly A Woman's Place), has built strong relationships with patients and families through her years of women's health care. She is excited to expand her practice to include obstetric care, allowing her to support patients throughout pregnancy. Mrs. Killman graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She continued her studies at Frontier Nursing University in Hyden, Ky., and graduated with a Master of Science in Nursing degree with a concentration in Nurse Midwifery in 2012.

Dr. Machin is a trusted and experienced OB/GYN specialist who has provided women's health care in the Pinehurst area for many years. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Medicine and Dentistry-New Jersey Medical School and completed an obstetrics and gynecology residency at Mount Sinai Hospital/Elmhurst Hospital in New York. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Princeton University in Princeton, New Jersey.

Delivering at MRH-Pinehurst

Patients will receive routine prenatal visits and ongoing pregnancy care at FirstHealth OB/GYN-Valleygate and will deliver at Moore Regional Hospital, where FirstHealth's dedicated OB hospitalists provide 24/7 onsite coverage. This team-based approach ensures expert support at every stage of labor and delivery, with seamless communication between clinic providers and hospital staff for a safe, personalized birth experience.
