BREAKING: Rep. Mary Miller Applauds Farm Bill Advancing Out of House Agriculture Committee

Congresswoman Mary Miller (IL-15), a member of the House Agriculture Committee, released the following statement after the Farm, Food, and National Security Act of 2026 passed out of committee.

"As a third-generation farmer, I know firsthand that farming is not easy work, and I am committed to ensuring our Illinois producers receive support," said Congresswoman Miller.

"This Farm Bill provides the tools and certainty our agricultural producers need to remain the strongest and most productive in the world. I look forward to bringing this legislation to the House floor and delivering the stability our farmers need to plan for the future."

The legislation secured several key provisions to support producers, including:

  • More than $1 billion for specialty crop programs.
  • Protections ensuring California's Proposition 12 cannot be imposed on producers outside the state.
  • Expanded access to credit for beginning farmers.
  • Codification of President Trump's reforms to the national dietary guidelines.
