M-58 (State Street) intersection closing Aug. 13-15 in Saginaw for grade work

SAGINAW, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will close the M-58 (State Street)/Warwick Street intersection in Saginaw for road grade work.

The Warwick Street intersection will be closed on Thursday, Aug. 13, through Saturday, Aug. 15. Northbound and southbound traffic will temporarily not be able to cross M-58 (State Street) through this intersection during this work.

Eastbound M-58 (State Street) is currently closed and detoured onto westbound M-58 (Davenport Avenue). Westbound M-58 was converted into a two-way road with a temporary center turn lane for the duration of this project.

This work is part of a project to rebuild 1.1 miles of eastbound M-58 (State Street) from Avalon Avenue to M-84 (Bay Street) in Saginaw. Work includes hot-mix asphalt rebuilding; new concrete curb, gutter and sidewalks; signal upgrades; signs; landscaping and pavement markings. MDOT is also coordinating with the City of Saginaw to make upgrades to city sewers and water mains.

This work is weather dependent.
