Financial Leadership Summit Set for Aug. 25 at WT Enterprise Center

CANYON, Texas - The WT Enterprise Center will host a one-day seminar designed to help financial leaders strengthen their leadership skills.

The Financial Leadership Summit will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 25 at the Enterprise Center, 2300 N. Western St. in Amarillo.

Accounting and finance professionals will take part in sessions led by leadership expert and former Chief Financial Officer Eric Alexander, founder of Six Arrows Consulting. Sessions will focus on stewardship, accountability, relationships and leadership growth.

"Effective leadership requires constant growth, and not just in the technical areas we finance folks must master," Alexander said. "At the Financial Leadership Summit, we'll explore other absolutely essential aspects of growth, including stewardship, accountability, key relationships and more."

The summit, which will offer six Continuing Professional Education credits for participants, is cohosted by the Panhandle Chapter of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, Six Arrows Consulting and America's SBDC at WTAMU.

"As a small business grows, it's imperative that owners manage their money and not let their money manage them," said Gina Woodward, executive director of the WT Enterprise Center.
