Employee reminder: Save leave for winter break

With winter break closure only a few months away, employees are encouraged to check their leave balances and reserve enough leave to cover the holiday closure.

During the holiday break closure, Dec. 24, 2026 through Jan. 1, 2027, employees who earn vacation leave, including classified and professional staff, as well as 12-month faculty, must record leave for the three days that are not official holidays (Dec. 28, 29 and 30). December 24, 25, 31 and January 1 are paid holidays for benefit-eligible employees.
