Netflix begins filming The Map of Longing with Alicia Falcó, Pablo Álvarez, and Georgina Amorós

Netflix announced today the filming for its new The Map of Longing , starring A licia Falcó, Pablo Álvarez , and Georgina Amorós. The series is an adaptation of the novel by Spanish writer Alice Kellen , published by Editorial Planeta.

The miniseries features Alicia Falcó ( Eighteen , The Atomic Shelter ) as Greta, Pablo Álvarez ( Memento Mori , The Favourite 1922 ) as Will, and Georgina Amorós ( Second Death , All the Times We Fell in Love , Elite ) as Lucy. The cast also includes Laia Marull ( Black Earth , Innocence ), Mario de la Rosa ( Money Heist , Welcome to Eden ), and Ramón Barea ( Four Walls , Everybody Knows ), among others.

The Map of Longing is directed by Laura M. Campos and Gemma Ferraté , written by Isa Sánchez , and produced by Brutal Media with Arlette Peyret and Raimon Masllorens serving as executive producers.

The limited series El mapa de los anhelos , tells the moving story of Greta, who claims she was born with the purpose of saving her sister Lucy, who suffers from leukemia, through her stem cells. However, events take an unexpected turn and Lucy passes away, leaving Greta with a deep existential void. Before departing, Lucy creates "El mapa de los anhelos," a game that challenges Greta to face her grief and discover her own path. On this journey, Greta will meet Will, an enigmatic young man with a haunting past. Can we love someone without loving ourselves?
