The University of Wisconsin-Platteville announced Sonja Passant as the Associate Director of Platteville Analytics and Institutional Reporting Services (PAIRS). Passant will assume her new role on Monday, May 18.
In this capacity, Passant will help lead PAIRS' analytic and reporting services that support university strategic planning, decision-making and resource allocation. PAIRS' data-driven insights have been instrumental in shaping enrollment strategies and enhancing student outcomes at UW-Platteville, directly aligning with the university's mission to promote academic excellence and student success. As Associate Director, Passant aims to further optimize reporting processes and cultivate a university-wide culture of data-informed decision-making.
"Sonja brings a strong combination of analytic expertise, thoughtful communication and a collaborative approach to serving the information needs of our campus," said John Dunning, Assistant Chancellor for Strategy & Planning and Chief Data Officer. "We look forward to her leadership in this new role as she continues to partner with colleagues across UW-Platteville, and beyond, to strengthen our data-informed decisions and outcomes."
Currently, Passant serves as the UW-Platteville Institutional Research Analyst within PAIRS, collaborating with stakeholders across the institution to identify informational needs and deliver analysis and reports. She has been with UW-Platteville since 2019, advancing through roles supporting Enrollment, Projections, Student Outcomes, Assessment and Strategic Initiatives. Passant holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, with a minor in Mathematics from UW-Platteville.
