JKU Researchers Among the Most Cited Scientists in the World

35 JKU researchers are included in the new Stanford list of the 2% most cited researchers worldwide in 2024.

The list, which is compiled annually by Prof. John Ioannidis of Stanford University in collaboration with Elsevier, highlights outstanding research achievements in various disciplines. The so-called Stanford List is based on a comprehensive analysis of citation data from the Scopus database and evaluates scientists based on various criteria such as the number of citations, the h-index and co-authorship. It is considered one of the most renowned rankings for measuring scientific influence.

The rankings of JKU researchers illustrate the excellent scientific work being done at the university in a variety of disciplines. This recognition underscores the JKU's international visibility and influence in the global research landscape.
