Reminder: Duke Street Land Use Plan Draft Plan Release Celebration, Community Meeting #9

Tomorrow, please join us at Patrick Henry Recreation Center to celebrate the release of the full Draft Duke Street Land Use Plan on September 29 (Tomorrow)! All are welcome to attend, whether this is your first or 9th community meeting. Cake and BBQ will be served. There will be a short presentation followed by a 30 minute Q&A and an open house where attendees can provide feedback and engage directly with staff about the Plan and its content. A virtual option on Zoom will be provided for the presentation and Q&A portions (access information below).

On September 29th, the Working Draft Plan will be available for download on our webpage (alexandriava.gov/DukeStreetPlan). An interactive opportunity to comment will available on the Engagement Hub (alexandriava.mysocialpinpoint.com/draft-plan). Public Comment is encouraged and will be open for 30 days, through October 28. As always, community members and organizations are encouraged to reach out to Christian Brandt ([email protected]) to request a meeting or presentation for their members.

The meeting location is accessible via the FREE DASH Bus Route 30. Food, childcare, and language interpretation in Spanish and Amharic will be available. Requests for interpretation in other languages must be made to Christian Brandt, Urban Planner, before 9/22: [email protected] or 703.746.3859.
