Intermountain Health Breaks Ground on New Copper Hills Clinic in West Jordan

A new medical clinic is coming to West Jordan. On August 27, city leaders joined Intermountain Health to break ground on the Copper Hills Clinic, located at 7800 South and 5600 West.

The 21,000-square-foot facility will bring primary care, family medicine, obstetrics, and behavioral health services to residents in West Jordan and west Salt Lake County. The clinic is scheduled to open in Fall 2026.

Mayor Dirk Burton called the project "a win for West Jordan," noting that easier access to healthcare supports the city's mission to help residents live healthier lives.

"Building a relationship with your primary care provider creates comfort and consistency," said Dr. Benjamin Christensen, a family practice physician with Intermountain Health. "When you're up to date with regular screenings, healthcare costs go down and major health concerns can be caught earlier."
