REMINDER: Closures scheduled for WB I-670 in downtown Kansas City, 5 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, April 6

Crews will replace signs, perform maintenance operations on WB I-670 in downtown Kansas City.

JACKSON COUNTY - Crews will CLOSE the following ramps on WB I-670 from 5 a.m. until 5 p.m. (approximately) on Sunday, April 6 in downtown Kansas City under Bartle Hall. The scheduled one-day closure is a collaboration between multiple crews to complete sign removal and replacement, and overhead sign truss work. In addition, maintenance operations including brush clearing, drain work, barrier work, bridge repair, sweeping and litter and graffiti clean-up will also take place.

Sunday, April 6, 5 a.m.-5 p.m. (approximately)

  • Crews will close the ramp (exit 2F) from WB I-70 to WB I-670/SB I-35
  • Crews will close the ramp from NB U.S. 71 to I-670 WB
  • Crews will close the 10th St. ramp to I-70/I-35/SB I-29
  • Crews will close the ramp from SB I-35/I-29/U.S. 71 to WB I-670

Motorists traveling on WB I-670 will be detoured to WB I-70.

Motorists are advised to plan ahead and be vigilant of work in the area. All work is weather permitting. Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short-term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
