Dallas Zoning Reform to be briefed at Nov. 5 City Plan Commission Meeting

On Thursday, Nov. 5, 2026, the City of Dallas Planning & Development Department, in collaboration with Camiros, Ltd., a national zoning consulting firm, will brief the City Plan Commission on Dallas Zoning Reform. The briefing will provide an overview of the project, highlight key elements of Dallas Development Code Public Draft #1, and outline upcoming public engagement opportunities. Following the briefing, the draft will be released online for public review.

The Dallas Zoning Reform effort is a city initiative to modernize the Dallas Development Code, which has not undergone a comprehensive update in over 40 years. The goal is to create a set of rules for the Dallas Development Code that are simple, clear and future-ready.

The CPC Briefing will begin at 9:00 a.m. on November 5, 2026, and can be viewed virtually on https://dallastx.new.swagit.com/views/113.

Following the briefing to CPC, the Dallas Development Code Public Draft #1 will be
available on www.dallaszoningreform.com.
