Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yiannis Loverdos, and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Algeria, Sofiane Chaib, met to discuss Diaspora issues (Athens, 19.01.2026)
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yiannis Loverdos, met today with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Algeria, Sofiane Chaib, who is responsible, among other issues, for Diaspora Affairs. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 3rd Session of the Joint Committee on Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation between Greece and Algeria.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the prospects for strengthening bilateral cooperation on Diaspora issues and explored possibilities for the exchange of know-how and best practices for the benefit of both communities abroad.
