LEADER JEFFRIES ANNOUNCES ADDITIONAL COMMITTEE ASSIGNMENT FOR CONGRESSMAN TOM SUOZZI

House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries announced today that Tom Suozzi will be appointed to the Select Committee on the Strategic Competition between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party.

"Today, I am honored to appoint Rep. Tom Suozzi to the Select Committee on the Strategic Competition between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party. Throughout his entire career, Congressman Suozzi has been an incredible advocate for a principled foreign policy that improves our international competitiveness, advances our economic growth and protects America's national security. Within the Congress, Tom has also championed the fight against human rights abuses carried out by the CCP, launching the Congressional Uyghur Caucus and serving on the Congressional-Executive Commission on the People's Republic of China. He will be an important and strong voice for American values on the Select Committee."
